This growing Australian wholesale and retail fashion business is seeking a dedicated Sales Assistant to join their dynamic team. This role offers the potential for growth and advancement, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent Operations Manager position for the right person.
We are looking for a mature individual who possesses exceptional attention to detail, takes pride in maintaining cleanliness and organisation, and has a keen eye for accuracy in stock management. Additionally, the successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries, offering product knowledge, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Process customer transactions and become the champion of Lightspeed Retail POS system and the source of knowledge to assist employees.
- Maintain the store's cleanliness, organisation, and visual merchandising standards to create an inviting and aesthetically pleasing environment.
- Assist with stock management, including receiving, unpacking, and accurately checking stock against delivery invoices.
- Work closely with the Managing Director to identify areas for improvement and contribute to operational efficiencies.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate stock records.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and personable demeanour.
- Professional appearance and the ability to represent the brand in a presentable manner.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
- Solid computer literacy and experience with POS systems is an advantage.
