**Innovation Central Perth, Curtin University**

Innovation Central Perth (ICP) was co-founded by Cisco, Woodside Energy, CSIRO and Curtin University in 2015 to help WA industry create digital solutions to commercial and operational challenges.

ICP connects researchers and students to industry in an experimental space equipped with the latest Cisco-enabled technology. The ICP model, developed at Curtin, has been replicated Australia-wide and it now works with partners around Australia - including collaborators from Cisco's National Industry Innovation Network. This network brings together industry challenges and research capabilities, unlocking collaboration possibilities.

ICP is managed within Curtin's School of Electrical Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences (EECMS), in partnership with Curtin's Research Office. This is one of several Cisco-Curtin partnerships across the University that support Curtin's demand-driven research, teaching delivery, work-integrated student learning and technology adoption.

**Your new role**
Curtin University is seeking a Manager for the Innovation Central Perth (ICP). This is a 3-year, fixed-term, full-time position. This is a professional appointment but both academics and professionals are invited to apply. The role reports though to Curtin's Science and Engineering Faculty, under the guidance of Cisco's Program Manager for University partnerships and working with the Curtin's Research Office.

**Key responsibilities and accountabilities include**:

- Deliver on the objectives of ICP as articulated in the relevant Cisco-Curtin agreements.
- Manage the Centre operations, including projects, events, marketing, stakeholder engagement, contract execution, budget and line management.
- Oversee the development of industry partnerships and engagement, including internal and external relationship management.
- Develop and lead Centre programs that enable demand-driven research and enrich the student learning experience.
- Embed diversity, inclusion and belonging principles in the Centre, to create an equitable, inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone feels they belong.
- Create processes for Curtin researchers, students and recent graduates to work on projects within the Centre and facilitate their contractual arrangements.
- Develop annual work plans and budgets to achieve the Centre's financial and strategic objectives.
- Prepare and submit all ICP reporting requirements, including monthly metrics and bi-annual reports to the Cisco-Curtin ICP Governing Board.
- Amplify and contribute to the reporting on other Cisco-Curtin partnership initiatives as required.
- Represent Curtin in Cisco's National Industry Innovation Network and at their annual Cisco Live event, working collaboratively with other state-based Cisco-funded Innovation Centrals.
- Showcase how the Centre's Cisco-enabled technology can be used to solve industry challenges and accelerate digital learning

- Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience in program and partnership management in the digital technology and education innovation sector.
- Demonstrated ability to incorporate professional, industry and work-based practices into educational programs.
- Extensive industry and educational networks with a proven ability to negotiate and steward relationships with diverse stakeholders and organisations.
- Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships and deliver end-to-end conversion of business development opportunities to support revenue growth and achieve strategic goals.
- High-level oral and written communication skills with the ability to develop business cases, prepare project plans, report on metrics, and deliver presentations.
- Proven track record in managing technical project teams and working with university researchers and students.
