About the role

As a Parks Asset Maintenance Officer, you'll help deliver the maintenance and minor capital works that keep our parks, sports fields and recreation spaces safe, functional and welcoming for the community. Reporting to the Parks Asset Maintenance Coordinator, you'll manage a diverse range of park assets, working closely with contractors, internal teams and stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes on time and within budget.

This hands‐on role combines asset inspections, contractor supervision and problem‐solving across playgrounds, sports courts, irrigation systems, park furniture and foreshore infrastructure. You'll respond to community requests, maintain accurate asset records, support audits and reporting, and ensure works meet safety, accessibility and environmental standards. Ideal for someone who enjoys practical delivery, collaboration and making a visible difference in public spaces.

Remuneration

$71,080.88 - $84,795.88 + 12% Superannuation

Required skills, experience and qualifications

* Industry experience in asset management and minor capital works delivery
* Demonstrated practical experience in the investigation, evaluation, design and specification of minor capital works infrastructure to relevant industry standards, codes and legislation
* Demonstrated experience in contractor supervision
* Strong interpersonal communication skills
* Computer skills, including demonstrated experience with word processing and spreadsheets
* Class C Motor Vehicle Driver's Licence.
