Join Data#3 as an Account Executive driving growth in the Defence and Intelligence sector.
Data#3 has a strong track record of delivering tailored solutions and services to Defence and National Security agencies. In 2024, we developed a national 10-year strategy to guide our investments and evolve in step with customer needs. The first phase of this plan included expanding our sector coverage by adding specialist roles to sharpen our expertise in security solutions, support for the Defence Strategic Review, and leverage emerging technologies like AI.
This Account Executive role, based in our Canberra office, will join an experienced territory team while driving growth with a national perspective.

In this role you will:
* Develop and execute strategic business plans to acquire new business within the Defence and Intelligence sector
* Lead large-scale tenders and proposals, managing complex sales cycles from prospecting through to contract negotiation
* Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, vendors, and partners to maximise business opportunities
* Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, solution owners, and executive leadership to drive sales success
* Leverage industry insights and data-driven approaches to deliver tailored, outcome-focused solutions to customers
* Maintain a thorough understanding of the Defence and Intelligence market and continuously adapt strategies to meet evolving client needs
* Represent Data#3 professionally, ensuring adherence to security and compliance requirements.
About You
* You have 5-10+ years of proven sales experience in technology or government sectors, ideally within Defence and Intelligence
* Skilled at engaging senior executives and building trusted, long-term client relationships
* Confident leading complex sales processes, including large tenders and multi-stakeholder negotiations
* Demonstrate strong commercial acumen with an ability to analyse ROI and financial value for clients
* Highly self-motivated, proactive, and able to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with teams
* Committed to ethical business practices and maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism
* Ability to obtain and maintain an NV2 security clearance
