The Opportunity:
We're seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join our Acacia Ridge Head Office. Reporting to the Group Manager Payroll, who'll be a key player in a newly formed team, delivering weekly payroll processing for employees and providing senior level payrolling support to Group Payroll Manager.
What You'll Be Doing:
* End-to-End Payroll: As delegated between the team, be accountable to deliver accurate and timely payroll, ensuring compliance with Fair Work, ATO, and superannuation regulations.
* System Management: Oversee Time & Attendance systems (e.g., UKG Kronos).
* Month-End & Year-End: Manage payroll processing, reconciliations, and reporting.
* Leadership: Everyone acts like a leader Guide and coach payroll officers and operational leaders, building capability and compliance.
* Collaboration: Partner with HR, Finance, and auditors to ensure smooth payroll operations and reporting.
* Payroll System Implementations: Supporting the Group Manager and team on new system rollouts, upgrades, or transitions.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience in a Senior Payroll Officer role, managing high-volume pay runs.
* Leadership & Mentorship: Ability to support and develop others.
* Problem-Solving: Confidence in identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies quickly.
* Communication & Customer Service: engages responsively, professionally & keeps others informed.
* Attention to Detail: Accuracy is critical to prevent payroll errors and compliance issues.
* Time Management & Adaptability: Works well under pressure, especially in fast-paced and changing environments.
* Integrity & Confidentiality: Handles sensitive payroll data with professionalism and discretion.
