Hays is currently partnered with a state government organisation to recruit a Learning & Development - Business Lead in a permanent capacity. This organisation strives to prevent workplace injuries, illness and fatalities whilst raising the standard of health and safety in all workplaces.
Your new role
This role is a business-critical position responsible for leading and supporting the design, management and delivery of cross jurisdiction/industry/enterprise specific projects that support industry capacity and capability.
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead the design, advisory and delivery mechanisms that translate strategic project objectives and deliverables into meaningful business outcomes that are fit-for-purpose, meet contractual obligations and are tailored to meet the needs of our business partners and specific client requirements.
- Provide the specialist experience and leadership for the development of contract and business objectives, KPI's, benefit realisation, and project milestones to successfully delivery of the icare Professional Standards and Capability Project.
- Lead development strategy and manage detailed proposal/tender briefs
- Manage major capability projects portfolio and other priority business requirements to monitor performance, set and communicate priorities, and manage risk on a monthly basis.
- Manage extensive and complex project budgets.
- Lead and Manage Instructional Design Team (5) and external Specialist Consultants to manage projects
- Act as the first point of contact for any requests or escalations with respect to the business and be the key lead in championing the change and benefits of the project within the business
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience in a learning and development or organisational development role
- Extensive experience in the use of e-learning authoring software (ideally Articulate Storyline) and SCORM files
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Proven ability to edit and proof own and others' work, with strong attention to detail
- Detailed knowledge of different learning styles, delivery models and methodologies, in particular blended approaches
- Demonstrated experience in project management, particularly in the context of learning design
