**About Aged Persons Mental Health Teams**
The community teams have seven sub-teams located in two service areas, one which is based in Endeavour Hills and is known as the Dandenong Aged Persons Mental Health Team (APMHT). The other is based in Kingston Centre and is known as the Middle South Aged Persons Mental Health Team (APMHT). The service provided assessment and treatment for people aged 65 years and over, who have a psychiatric disability and/or dementia with associated behaviours of concern requiring specialist treatment.
**About the Role**
- Opportunity exists for a suitably experienced, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse or Social Worker
- Great way to experience working with a community team
- Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm
- Monash Health, Dandenong Aged Persons Mental Health Team (located at Endeavour Hills)
- Diverse geographical area and client population
- as a member of a multidisciplinary team the Mental Health Clinician will consult with other staff members on specialist matters, in relation to client needs
Our Mental Health Clinicians are responsible for a range of clinical mental health services including:
- triage
- intake
- comprehensive mental health assessments including mental state examinations and risk management
- care planning and treatment
- clinical case management
- education
- discharge planning
This position also provides discipline specific services to clients as required.

Additionally you will possess:
- AHPRA registered Occupational Therapists or
- Qualified Social Workers (preferably accredited with AASW) or
- AHPRA registered nurses (with post graduate qualifications in Mental Health)
