**The Role**
- Supporting OPAW auditors through the planning, delivery, conduct and post audit review of HQ AVNCOMD's Flight Management System (FMS) audits of the Army Aviation enterprise.
- The management of internal Quality Management System (QMS) documentation including QMS Policy/Manual artefacts.
- The management and ongoing development of DOPAW's Regulatory Compliance Matrix tool, maintaining appropriate audit traceability of AVNCOMD policy and procedures to applicable Defence regulations and requirements.
- Supporting the OPAW SO1/EL1 QMS Manager in the development and implementation of policies, processes and procedures consistent with Defence governance requirements.
- Supporting the OPAW SO1/EL1 QMS Manager in the management and delivery of ad-hoc and periodic reviews of FMS policy and procedure.
- The timely and accurate management of responses to external audit findings and corrective actions allocated to AVNCOMD through external audit processes.
- Providing advice and assistance to internal and external stakeholders on complex governance matters in accordance with relevant policy and procedures.
- Working collaboratively to build and sustain effective relationships and provide constructive feedback.
**About our Team**
HQ Army Aviation Command (HQ AVNCOMD) was established in July 2021 to ensure Army's aviation capability to be Ready Now and Future Ready. The Commands mission and purpose is to deliver aviation capability in order to support Army's generation of land power to the Joint Force, while also generating and sustaining Army's aviation capability in support of domestic and offshore operations.
The Directorate of Operational Airworthiness is responsible for aspects of Army Aircraft Weapon Systems, Flight Safety of the Aircraft Type, Aviation Support Systems, Aviation Medicine, Aviation Psychology/Human Factors and Army Air Operations to ensure Army Aviation maintains Airworthiness.
These aspects encompass a range of activities including Army Aviation Policy formulation (OIP), Governance, Command Clearance, Review and Compliance Audit of Operational Procedures, Management of Aviation Safety and Reporting, Management of Flight Manuals and Aircrew Records.
- Previous experience in the management and oversight of Quality Management Systems, or the ability to quickly acquire the skills to do so.
- A demonstrated understanding of the inter-dependencies between regulatory frameworks, policy and procedures.
- Possesses an in-depth understanding of the essentials of governance and record-keeping.
- Uses excellent attention to detail to analyse documents for accuracy and completeness
- Works well in a team environment.
