LET’S EXPLORE THE ROLE As a Network Engineer – Critical Communications, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining and supporting the NSW Public Safety Network (PSN) — the state’s primary communications platform for emergency service providers. You’ll provide technical leadership across MPLS and IP network environments, ensuring high availability, resilience and rapid fault restoration for mission‑critical services. Key Responsibilities: Deliver Level 2 support and maintenance for customer systems Manage, configure and restore faults on Nokia and Cisco routers Oversee link and connectivity issues, working with external suppliers Provide guidance to Critical Communications and Field Services teams Assist in work estimates, quotations and supporting external bids Support NOCC and Customer Service Managers in resolving escalated issues Identify and escalate systemic issues requiring engineering intervention Review “as-built” documentation and ensure compliance with installation standards Provide guidance to subcontractors as required LET’S HEAR ABOUT YOU You’re a proactive network engineer with a passion for critical communications and a commitment to maintaining systems that communities rely on every day. You’re comfortable navigating complex IP environments, solving problems under pressure, and collaborating closely with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
