The Role
The Education Coordinator is responsible for developing, facilitating, delivering and reporting on a range of educational and professional development programs for the NSWOTDS, broader NSW Network and local health district hospitals. The role includes providing clinical support and training, and developing resources for Donation Specialist Nurses (DSN), Donation Specialist Coordinators (DSC), Donation Specialists Medical (DSM) and associated specialty staff.
The Education Coordinator will participate in the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of nationally consistent education programs and resources on organ and tissue donation in collaboration with the Organ & Tissue Authority (OTA).
In collaboration with DSCs, DSNs and DSMs, the Education Coordinator will develop and deliver education to medical, nursing and allied health staff in regional hospitals, including Intensive Care Units (ICUs), Emergency Departments (EDs), Operating Theatres (OTs) and the hospital as a whole. In some regional hospitals that do not have donation specialist staff, the Education Coordinator will provide all donation‐specific education, training and support for relevant medical, nursing and allied health staff.

Selection Criteria
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Holding post‐registration clinical or educational qualification relevant to the position.
* Demonstrated experience in development, implementation and assessment of training programs.
* Extensive experience in delivering educational presentations to a variety of audiences.
* Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
* Possession of a driver's licence, as travel is a requirement of this position.
