This location will be part of testing concepts, products, and other opportunities for growth and performance of the Network.Position Summary:CSN Dundas Valley is currently hiring a skilled and meticulous Auto Body Prepper to become a valued member of our team. The primary duties of the Auto Body Prepper involve preparing vehicles for the painting process, which includes tasks such as sanding, priming, and masking. This role also offers the potential for advancement within our paint department.Key Responsibilities:Sand the vehicle surfaces using various products and tools appropriate for the type of repair, to create a smooth surface for paintingApply masking tape and paper to protect areas of the vehicle that will not be paintedPrepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primerEnsure proper adhesion of paint by removing dirt, debris, and imperfections from the surfacesAssist with mixing paint and primers according to manufacturer specificationsAssist with operating and maintaining painting equipment and toolsCollaborate with the painting team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality workPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or managerPerform processes set by paint manufacturerPrevious experience as an Auto Body Prepper or in a similar roleKnowledge of different types of sanding and masking techniquesFamiliarity with automotive paints, primers, and painting equipmentAbility to work independently and as a team playerExcellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructionsStrong problem-solving and time management skillsPhysical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and work in a fast-paced environmentValid driver's licenseHigh school diploma or equivalentIcar designation and certification are an asset.Experience refinishing in a back up capacity to the main painter is an asset.On-the-Job Exposure to the following elements:FumesDirtChemicals/ToxinsHazardsHeat/ColdNoiseSupplemental Pay: Bonus, Overtime as per policyBenefits:Education reimbursement on related courses, safety tools and footwear can be provided, health, dental, Long term Disability and life insurance.Schedule:8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, additional as required.Career Path: As CSN continues to grow, other career opportunities may become available.Disclaimer: This job description may not be inclusive of all assigned duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the job described, and will evolve as CSN continues to growCSN is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
