The Role
Our Finance team is looking for a full‐time Senior Tax Manager to cover parental leave for a 6+ month fixed‐term contract. As a key contributor to the financial success of the business, the Senior Tax Manager is critical to ensuring the company is fulfilling its tax compliance obligations globally. The role includes owning the end‐to‐end tax compliance function, maintaining momentum on existing work‐streams and providing commercially sound tax advice across a fast-growing, global tech platform.
What You'll Own
* Manage direct and indirect tax reporting for the Group and for standalone subsidiaries in the US, Australia and UK, including:
o Coordinate third‐party tax return preparers in various return‐related initiatives, such as R&D tax credit calculation and transfer pricing documentation
o Review and optimise the overall indirect tax function, including sales/VAT/GST, marketplace and other non‐income based tax filings
o Assist with other filings such as business licenses, state registrations and international registrations
* Design, maintain and improve taxation working papers as well as support tax reporting, compliance and internal control requests related to taxes (provision, deferred taxes, current payable, etc.)
* Support Linktree Accounting team in monthly tax accounts review & reconciliation process
* Prepare tax process and controls documentation
* Participate & assist cross‐functional teams in ad‐hoc tax research projects (such as M&A, business tax advisory, audits), as required
* Keep up‐to‐date on new legislation, industry developments, and action plans
* Provide tax advice on global mobility and taxation implications, as required
* Leverage AI and emerging technologies to reimagine tax processes, drive automation, and build a more scalable and future‐ready tax function
* Assist in implementation of tax and compliance related systems and processes to scale Finance into a gold standard decision support set‐up
* Coach and manage a Tax Accountant, fostering their development and ensuring high‐quality output across the tax function
What You'll Bring
* CA / CPA preferred
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, or finance related field
* 7+ years of public tax accounting and/or industry tax accounting experience including income tax accounting and compliance
* Strong technical knowledge of local and international tax rules and regulations
* Understanding of e‐commerce operations, creator payouts, and marketplace taxation
* Ability to work independently in a fast‐paced environment with strong ownership of the tax function
* Results driven with a high level of initiative, teamwork, urgency, accountability and integrity
* Ability to communicate complex tax concepts effectively to non‐tax professionals
* Strong data literacy and systems aptitude, including confidence working with large datasets, finance and tax systems and AI‐powered tools to drive efficiency and automation
