Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is currently seeking a
** Senior Study Manager** to support our team in one of our industry's leading battery metal projects in our Brisbane team.
Wood is at the forefront of engineering solutions for a net zero future. A key component of decarbonising the world is the Mining and Minerals Industry which supplies the critical minerals required for this revolution.
Wood is currently delivering critical metals projects (Battery and Magnet metals) all over the world, including Copper, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals projects.
This position is a full-time permanent role reporting directly to the Technical Director of Studies, where you will join a team working on major scale DFS studies. Your role will inetrface and work closely with the Brisbane leaderhsip team, through provision of technical direction for the completion of study. Our team are working on large scale local and international projects both in greenfields and brownfields oeprations, that offer challening and complex processing requirements due to their inherent foundations.
Skills / Qualifications:
**About you**
This position would suit Study Managers or Project Managers from an EPC or EPCM environment. The ability to comprehend whole of mine operations from orebody to market and the related technical and economic interactions within such systems is important.
With relevant qualifications in engineering, you will also have:
- Extensive experience leading and managing engineering studies.
- Knowledge of process plant design, construction, commissioning and operation and associated infrastructure
- Experience developing proposals, budgets and schedules for new studies.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix structure, liaising with and securing resources from functional heads and working groups
- An understanding of change management and the ability to translate this understanding into appropriate action
- Experienced in building positive and collaborative relationships both internal and external
