The Role
Primarily responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating long-term mine plans for Phosphate Hill Mine, encompassing mine scheduling, design, and reporting components.
Key Responsibilities
* Developing and maintaining the long-term mine schedule, ensuring accuracy within +/-5% of plan targets
* Creating pit and waste dump design shapes; developing overburden removal, ore extraction, waste dump, and backfill designs in Deswik CAD
* Developing and communicating Annual Budget mine plan physicals, providing the basis for financial budget development
* Ensuring mine plans are safe, operationally deliverable, and commercially accurate, reflecting current resource model data and geotechnical constraints
* Mentoring and developing Mine Production Engineers in planning skills and mine design fundamentals
* Supporting contractor engagement to ensure alignment of mid-term plans with execution
What You'll Bring
* You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
* Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering (bachelor's degree minimum)
* Demonstrated experience in surface/open cut mining environments with long-term planning responsibilities
* Competent in SAP Business Systems & Microsoft Office suite (Excel)
* Strong capability in mine design, scheduling, cost forecasting and stakeholder communication
* Deswik scheduling & CAD software suite (preferable)
* Experience in publishing Life of Mine plan (JORC)
