HR Consultant – 12‐Month Fixed Term (Hybrid, North Sydney)
AUB Group has an exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced HR Consultant to join our team on a 12‐month fixed‐term contract. This hybrid role is based in North Sydney and offers the chance to work closely with our local HR team.
In this role, you'll be a trusted advisor to leaders across the business, contributing to strategic HR initiatives while ensuring smooth, effective day‐to‐day HR operations. From employee relations and performance management to onboarding, offboarding and compliance, you'll play a key role in delivering practical HR solutions that support our people and strengthen our culture.
What you'll be doing
As the HR Consultant, you will:
* Act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders on all HR matters, applying strong professional judgement and HR expertise.
* Manage employee relations matters end‐to‐end, including investigations and disciplinary processes aligned with company policy.
* Build trusted relationships with managers and senior stakeholders, providing advice across onboarding, offboarding, performance management, workforce planning, organisational change, and legislative updates.
* Support people‐focused initiatives including engagement programs, L&D activities, and DE&I initiatives that foster a supportive and inclusive workplace.
* Develop and implement new HR practices, processes, and programmes that meet evolving organisational needs.
What you bring
We're looking for someone who brings:
* Qualifications in Human Resource Management (or related field) with demonstrated experience in a similar HR generalist or consulting role.
* Strong understanding of employment legislation, HR trends, and changes that impact the modern workplace.
* Broad generalist HR capability across the full employee lifecycle.
* High levels of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when managing sensitive information.
* Excellent organisational and time‐management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast‐paced environment.
* Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the business.
