Are you a creative and strategic communicator with a passion for social media and meaningful digital engagement? We’re seeking a talented Social Media Officer to join a highly regarded not-for-profit team committed to making a difference in animal welfare and community engagement.
About the Role
As Social Media Officer you will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of engaging social content across key platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and others. You’ll help shape how our organisation connects with supporters, responds to online conversations, and grows our presence across social channels.
This role is perfect for someone with strong digital content skills, excellent communication, and a flair for bringing campaigns to life through social storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement social media content schedules and digital communication activity.
* Generate compelling, platform-relevant content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and related channels.
* Moderate social media posts and community engagement in a professional and timely manner.
* Support content strategy implementation across social platforms and monitor performance insights.
* Work with the team on content planning, digital campaigns and communications strategy.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align digital communications with organisational priorities.
About You
* Degree or equivalent in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related field.
* 1–2+ years experience in a similar role with responsibility for content creation across social media.
* Proven ability to craft engaging posts and campaigns for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other channels.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to tone and detail.
* Comfortable with scheduling content, moderating community responses and supporting digital strategy execution.
* A proactive team player who thrives in a supportive environment.
