Overview
The Enterprise Risk unit of Edith Cowan University supports the University to make effective decisions based on a holistic understanding of the inherent risks and opportunities.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Project Risk Adviser to join our team in providing relevant and timely advice to support the University’s strategic goals in an increasingly complex and dynamic operational environment.
The Role
As Risk Adviser – Project Risk, you will report to the University’s Chief Risk Officer and focus on the following key areas:
Provide risk management support to strategic project stakeholders such as stakeholders from the City Campus Program to enable the clear identification, articulation and escalation of risks in accordance with relevant risk governance documentation (e.g. City Campus Risk Management Plan and ECU Integrated Risk Management Guidelines).
Provide administrative support to specified programs and projects which include maintenance of risk registers.
Build relationships with stakeholders to identify and assess risks, participate in risk reviews and facilitate risk workshops relevant to the University’s key strategic projects.
Consolidate risk information for reporting into relevant governance bodies.
Coordinate project risk assurance and audit activities.
Your proven experience in working in a relevant risk-specific role, combined with demonstrated knowledge and qualifications in business or risk management and stakeholder engagement capabilities will place you in an excellent position for this role. Experience providing risk advice on large capital or business change projects, an internal customer service attitude and highly developed written and verbal communication skills will further strengthen your application.
