About the role
An exciting opportunity exists to provide leadership and support to the Revenue team, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of services to achieve Council’s objectives.You will be a self-motivated person with highly developed time management skills and demonstrated analytical skills. You will also have experience in a Revenue environment within Local Government. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with a range of stakeholders is essential.
You will play an essential role within the team with your high level of attention to detail and effective communication contributing to our success.
Skills and experience
1. Sound knowledge and understanding of the Local Government Act 1989 as it relates to rates and charges
2. Demonstrated working experience in the collection of rates and charges
3. Demonstrated experience in debt collection
4. High standard of computer skills including Microsoft Office
5. Highly developed oral and written skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service
6. Previous experience with property and rating databases/applications
