**About the Role**:
This position is **permanent, full-time**, and offers flexibility with office locations in **Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane**, including options to work from home.
**About You**:
You are a seasoned professional with substantial experience in operational management and team leadership, ideally within the humanitarian sector. Your strategic planning skills, advocacy for CALD communities, and dedication to enhancing clients' settlement journeys are exemplary.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Strategic Leadership: Guide a national team responsible for delivering training and assessments, ensuring professional growth and strategic direction.
- Program Management: Steer the implementation and delivery of NISS programs, which provide quality services to our clients and uphold the standards of Life Without Barriers.
- Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain robust relationships with external stakeholders to support the strategic objectives of our programs.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure the smooth operation of the NISS program, managing budgets, human resources, and customer relationships effectively.
- Quality and Compliance: Oversee service eligibility compliance and maintain a high standard of care and support across client services.
**Skills & Experience**
- Degree qualification in Human Services or related discipline.
- Significant experience in the leadership and management of multi-site, multi-disciplinary programs within a complex, dynamic, and high-volume environment.
- Demonstrated experience in managing services for vulnerable people, including experience in child protection or the out-of-home care sector.
- Proven ability to manage programs and services within a budget.
- Demonstrated experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds with specific reference to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- A demonstrated commitment to the care and protection of children and young people, including working towards permanency goals.
- Demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities and delivering high quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.
- Demonstrated understanding of Child Protection policies and framework.
- Familiarity with TCI and the CARE principles will be highly regarded.
- A demonstrated commitment to the care and protection of children and young people.
- Advanced interpersonal/communication skills, including verbal, written and negotiation.
- Demonstrated ability in time management and organisational skills.
- Well-developed problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use initiative, think laterally and strategically, and meet deadlines and produce quality work under pressure.
- Ability to manage issues, risks and contentious matters.
- Current Drivers Licence.
