We are seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join our Accounts Team in Crestmead. Full-hours 7am-4pm
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Officer’s primary responsibilities will be to:
* Perform the day-to-day processing of various financial transactions (both accounts receivable and payable)
* Balance daily takings from all Branches within the Group
* Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure company accounts remain up to date and free of constraints at all times
* Process new customer account applications, complete credit analysis and arrange credit/insurance levels as per company procedure
* Maintain the customer database
* Post and reconcile customer payments
* Assist the Finance Manager with month end procedures
* Enter source documents including supplier invoices and credit notes
* Process Customer Refunds and provide back-up support to the Accounts Receivable team
* General support of Finance and Admin function including any assigned projects
Knowledge and Experience
* Demonstrated experience within a high-volume transactional environment
* Ability to work under limited supervision (speed and accuracy are integral to success in this role)
* Knowledge of XERO and SAGE ERP (preferred)
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Strong people, communication and organisational skills
* High level computer skills and high proficiency with Excel
* High level of problem solving and analytical skills
