Overview

Your Role at St John of God Bendigo Hospital We are seeking an experienced Grade 2 or Grade 3 Psychologist to join our Allied Health team in a permanent part-time role, offering flexible and negotiable hours—ideal for clinicians seeking strong work–life balance. You will provide evidence-based individual and group therapy across our outpatient rehabilitation programs, supporting patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery. The role also includes therapy for private outpatients and selected inpatients. Grade 2 applicants will demonstrate independent practice, specialist knowledge and contribute to supervision, teaching and quality activities. Grade 3 applicants will provide senior leadership in developing and delivering innovative programs and high-level clinical care. We welcome applications from both Grade 2 and Grade 3 Psychologists, depending on experience.

The Position

* Provides individualised and group clinical care based on professional training reflecting current ethical clinical practice as required.
* Provides advanced level Psychology services including a range of individualised and group clinical care based on professional training reflecting current ethical clinical practice as required.
* Provides comprehensive assessment and care planning monitoring client/patient progress adjusting treatment accordingly for complex management.
* Liaises with multi-disciplinary team to promote effective communication including verbal and written feedback to referring Doctor.
* Supervise and assist patients in exercise routines, gait activities and daily living activities as directed by the treating allied health care professional.
* Maintains appropriate clinical records reflecting adherence to hospital policies, ACHS and legal requirements.
* Contributes to the design and implementation of programs relevant to the needs of clients and current clinical practice.
* Maintain a sound working knowledge of best practice supervision practices; competency based learning plans and ethics around supervision.

You will be registered as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) and have experience/ability to provide group programs and individual therapy to child, adolescent and adult patients/clients presenting with a myriad of concerns.

To succeed as Grade 3, you will have a minimum of five years' experience, be responsible for the supervision of other psychologists and/or engaged in work requiring specialist knowledge and skill, or involving a significant degree of administration, policy and/or planning involvement.

* Salary Grade 3: $112,265 to $126,059 (pro rata for part-time) per annum plus 12% superannuation
* Salary Grade 2: $95,926 to $110,468 per annum (pro rata for part-time) plus 12% superannuation
* Salary packaging up to $18,550 on a range of benefits such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses as well as options to salary package benefits above the FBT cap on items such as:
o Novated leasing

o additional superannuation
* Permanent part-time role, working up to 30.4 hours per fortnight
