Maintenance Supervisor
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team on a full-time basis.
* Assist in leading and executing the preventative maintenance program to ensure optimal property performance and maintain high standards of service delivery.
* Provide hands-on support by performing repairs and maintenance as required across the property, ensuring prompt response times and minimizing downtime.
* Supervise and support key service areas including electrical, mechanical, pest control, cleaning, fire protection, security control systems, hydraulic services, and approved contractor works.
* Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety best practices at all times, promoting a safe working environment for staff and guests.
* Assist with stock control and supplier coordination to maintain efficient operations and minimize waste.
* Support in preparing quotes and scheduling maintenance tasks, including minor capital expenditure projects.
* Work closely with the Hotel Manager to support the recruitment and development of the Maintenance team, fostering a positive and productive work culture.
The successful applicant will have:
* Previous hands-on Maintenance or Facilities experience, preferably in a hotel environment, with a proven track record of delivering results.
* Experience supervising or supporting team members within a maintenance team, with strong leadership and communication skills.
* Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and strategies for optimizing property performance.
* Experience liaising and coordinating with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
* Sound Microsoft Office skills (including Excel spreadsheets and Word documents) and proficiency in utilizing technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with impeccable presentation, ensuring effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
* Availability to work Monday – Friday, with some on-call work on weekends, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
* A relevant trade or building qualification will be highly regarded, highlighting the candidate's technical expertise and commitment to ongoing learning.
