Menzies Aviation Engineering is currently recruiting for experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (Mechanical) with previous line maintenance history. Experience on B787’s will be an advantage along with other passenger aircraft types.
What you’ll be doing
We are seeking Casual Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join the growing team!
The position is to support long‑term contracts Menzies Aviation Engineering has with the international airlines and airfreight operators in Melbourne. You will be part of a team of engineers carrying out line maintenance, defect rectification and AOG repairs. We are looking for a keen, dynamic individual with the right attitude who wants to be part of a small but growing flexible friendly team. We offer a competitive remuneration package along with a adaptable roster.
To be eligible for this position you must
- Hold Cert IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical) or equivalent trade certificate.
- Be able to obtain an ASIC and ADA.
- Eligible to work / Live in Australia.
- Must be based or willing to relocate to live in the Melbourne area.

- Ability to work a 7‑day rotating roster (shift work).
- Professional, approachable and warm in style with a strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work at pace and meet critical deadlines.
- Previous experience in the same or similar role for a minimum of 5 years within the aviation industry.
- Effectively and efficiently work autonomously.
- You will be extremely flexible and happy to get down into the detail and be operational.
- Robust ability to problem solve and deliver solution‑based outcomes.
- Can anticipate needs, be agile and flexible.
- Effective and productive time management skills.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills, with a focus on detail.
- Proficient ability to utilise the Microsoft Office suite.
