About the Job
We are looking for an experienced
Project Manager with MSP experience
to deliver complex, client-facing IT projects with a strong focus on
Microsoft-based technologies
. This role combines hands-on technical involvement with project leadership—ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality and client satisfaction.
Working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) you will manage projects as profit centres, oversee project engineers, and act as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Projects span Microsoft 365 and Azure migrations, infrastructure and networking initiatives, and vendor solutions such as
Microsoft,
CISCO
,
HPE, Aruba, and Sophos
.
What You'll Be Doing
* Plan, manage, and deliver projects across Microsoft 365, Azure, infrastructure, networking, and related technologies for an MSP
* Provide hands-on technical guidance and leadership to project engineers
* Working with Engineers, Architects and SME's on Presales opportunities
* Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and out-of-scope variations
* Assign appropriate technical resources to project tasks and tickets
* Act as the central liaison for technical, resource, and billing queries
* Manage client expectations around milestones, timelines, and financial viability
* Conduct Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs) and manage CSAT feedback
* Maintain project documentation, forecasting, and SLA reporting
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and meet client expectations
Financial & Reporting Responsibilities
* Manage projects as profit centres with a target margin
* Ensure accurate time tracking, with approximately 70% billable utilisation
* Reconcile labour, products, and licensing at project completion
* Monitor capacity planning vs actuals to align with billable targets
* Provide timely project and financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including the Leadership team
Team Leadership & Collaboration
* Provide oversight, direction, and coaching to project engineers
* Drive collaboration across technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders
* Contribute to continuous improvement in project delivery processes
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a
mid to senior-level IT Project Manager, with extensive MSP experience
* Strong hands-on experience with
Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, security, and infrastructure
* Experience delivering complex, client-facing technology projects
* Strong financial and commercial acumen in project delivery
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* PRINCE2 Foundation / Practitioner (or equivalent)
