As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team and play a key role in delivering engineering solutions for industrial and mining clients.
Role DescriptionThis position is for a Senior Structural Engineer, reporting directly to the Principal Engineer and working closely with clients, project teams and other partners.
The role is suited to an engineer with significant experience in industrial or mining structures, who is comfortable taking technical responsibility for structural analysis, design verification and certification.
You will be involved in the analysis, modelling, design, and drafting of steel and concrete structures, including mining platforms, lifting devices, plant support structures, and foundations.
The role will also involve:Structural analysis and verification of steel and concrete structuresDesign and certification of lifting devices and spreader beamsEngineering assessments of existing plant and infrastructureStructural modifications and upgrades to operating facilitiesSite inspections and condition assessmentsLiaison with clients, fabricators and site personnelPreperation of engineering documentation and certification reports
The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate:Degree qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering10+ years experience in structural engineeringExperience working on mining, heavy industry or infrastructure projectsStrong knowledge of Australian Standards including AS4100, AS3990 and AS3600Experience with structural analysis and modelling softwareAbility to interpret load paths and structural behaviour in real-world conditionsStrong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersChartered status (CPEng / NER) highly regarded
