Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Metal Fabricator to contribute to our custom kitchen projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of metals, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications to create precise metal components for high-end kitchen installations.
This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and durability of our bespoke kitchen fittings and joinery.
You will need to perform the following duties:
Use various metalworking processes such as cutting, shaping, welding, and assembling metal parts to create components that meet the specific requirements of each custom kitchen project.
Accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure the precise fabrication of metal parts and structures that meet design and quality standards.
Select the appropriate metals and materials for each project, ensuring compatibility with the overall design and functionality of the kitchen installation.
Perform various welding techniques to join metal parts and structures securely.
Safely operate machinery such as saws, shears, presses, and grinders to cut and shape metal.
Conduct quality checks on fabricated components to ensure they meet specifications in terms of size, shape, and finish.
Assemble fabricated metal parts into final structures according to design plans.
Work closely with the design and installation teams to ensure metal components fit perfectly within the broader kitchen layouts.
Polish, sand, and finish metal surfaces to meet aesthetic and functional requirements.
Keep accurate records of materials used and assist in maintaining an inventory of metalworking supplies and tools.
Follow all health and safety regulations while working in the shop or on-site.
Contribute to improving fabrication techniques and processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
The essential requirement for this position:
At least Certificate IV in related fields.
At least3 yearsof closely related working experience.
Proven experience as a Metal Fabricator, preferably in the construction industry.
Proficiency with metalworking tools, machinery, and welding techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to meet project deadlines.
Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
