About the role

As the Cloud Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the TAC's Microsoft Program's tenancy, cloud migration, and infrastructure uplift initiatives. You will be hands-on in implementing and configuring secure, scalable, and compliant cloud environments, collaborating closely with the Microsoft Technical Lead, Architects, and project teams to deliver technical solutions that align with enterprise standards and business needs.

This role involves building Azure infrastructure, configuring landing zones, managing security services, and supporting migration activities while ensuring operational excellence and compliance with TAC's security and privacy standards.

About the Team

Join our dynamic Strategic Digital Delivery team within the Enterprise Transformation Division, based in our Geelong head office. Our team is dedicated to delivering TAC's strategic priorities through innovative technology solutions that optimise client outcomes, enhance employee experience, and create positive community impact.

We oversee portfolio, program, and project delivery, as well as technology development and operations, including digital transformations initiatives. You'll work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, partnering with architects, technical leads, and business analysts to drive impactful change.

Demonstrated experience delivering Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure in large scale or enterprise environments, with strong proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g. Terraform) and scripting tools like PowerShell and Azure CLI.

Security & Compliance Focus

Proven ability to configure and manage Azure security services (e.g. Microsoft Defender, Azure Policy, Sentinel) and deliver compliant cloud environments aligned with enterprise or government policies.

Collaboration and Problem Solving

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, paired with strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues in multidisciplinary teams.
