About the role
Austand Elevator, a leading provider of elevator installations and maintenance services, is seeking a skilled Electrician / Lift Install & Service Technician to join our team in Adelaide, SA. This full-time or part-time role is crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our elevators across the region.
What you'll be doing
1. Conduct installations, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of elevator systems
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with elevators
3. Perform preventative maintenance checks and inspections to identify potential problems
4. Liaise with clients to understand their needs and provide technical support
5. Ensure all work is carried out to the highest safety and quality standards
6. Keep accurate records of work completed and parts used
7. Collaborate with the wider team to share knowledge and best practices
What we're looking for
1. Qualified electrician with 3+ years of experience in the elevator/lift industry
2. Strong understanding of electrical systems, control panels, and lift mechanisms
3. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve issues
4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
5. Commitment to safety and a focus on delivering high-quality work
6. Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and colleagues
7. Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call duties, to respond to emergencies
8. Must hold a valid electrical licence
9. Australian work rights required (valid work visa accepted)
