Mergent Group is seeking a highly skilled and qualified Underground Electrical Supervisor to join our team at Olympic Dam, South Australia.
This role is suited to an experienced and motivated electrician with strong knowledge of electrical systems within an industrial or construction environment, combined with proven leadership skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising underground electrical work crews, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while mentoring and guiding team members.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and supervision to electrical work crews onsite.
* Manage day-to-day operational tasks and workflow for the workgroup.
* Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with site and legislative requirements.
* Coordinate with project teams to ensure work is delivered efficiently and meets project targets.
* Monitor job progress, productivity and quality of work.
* Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings and field leadership activities.
* Assist with planning, scheduling and resource allocation for electrical works.
* Verify timesheets and monitor work hours in line with site policies.
* Maintain strong communication with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
* Identify hazards, report incidents and promote a strong safety culture onsite.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar supervisory role.
* Underground experience highly desirable.
* Strong industrial and/or construction site experience.
* Instrumentation and HV experience advantageous.
* South Australian A-Class Electrician Licence.
* Valid Driver's Licence.
* Construction Industry White Card.
