Our client, a well-established and reputable hotel, is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on a full-time casual contractual basis.

The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the hotel's day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accuracy across all accounting functions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Daily revenue reconciliation across rooms, food & beverage, and events
* Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
* Accounts payable and receivable processing
* Assisting with payroll preparation and reconciliations
* Supporting month-end close and financial reporting
* Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
* Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
* Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
* Prior experience in hotel industry is a must
* Strong understanding of accounting principles
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Ability to meet deadlines and work both independently and within a team
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
