As a Registered Nurse at our aged care home, you will provide high-quality clinical care to residents with a person-centered approach. Your role will involve providing direct nursing care, acting as a team leader, and working in a safe environment.
About the Role
We are looking for an individual with a kind heart and genuine passion for caring for the elderly. You must have current AHPRA registration and a thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Quality Standards. Additionally, you should have strong coaching/training skills, effective conflict resolution skills, and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
* Act as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
* Work in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues, and residents closely following all policies and procedures
Requirements
* A Bachelor of Nursing or similar qualification
* Current AHPRA registration
* Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Quality Standards
* Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
* Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age-related health issues
* Strong coaching/training skills
* Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
* Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
