Community Partnerships & Companion Driver (Casual)
Driving Miss Daisy is more than transport — we are a trusted companion driving service supporting seniors to remain independent, socially connected, and safe.
As we expand across the Cairns and Port Douglas region, we are seeking a semi-retired or retired professional with strong relationship-building and community partnership experience.
This is a hybrid role combining:
✔ Companion driving
✔ Community engagement
✔ Strategic relationship development
About the Role-
This position would suit someone who has worked as:
* Community Partnership Coordinator
* Healthcare & Aged Care Liaison
* Relationship Manager
* Business Development Representative
* Community Engagement Officer
You will represent Driving Miss Daisy professionally within the healthcare and aged care sector while also providing companion driving services to clients.
Key Duties Companion Driving
* Transport and accompany seniors to appointments, shopping and social outings
* Build trusted relationships with clients and families
* Deliver compassionate, professional service
Community Partnership Development
* Visit healthcare providers and aged care facilities
* Introduce Driving Miss Daisy services to management teams
* Build referral pathways
* Maintain and follow up professional relationships
* Identify opportunities for collaboration and growth
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
✔ Is semi-retired or retired but still professionally active
✔ Has strong sales, relationship management or partnership experience
✔ Is confident engaging with facility managers and healthcare professionals
✔ Enjoys meaningful conversations and working with seniors
✔ Is flexible with casual hours
✔ Wants to grow with a locally operated, values-driven business
Ideal Background
This role is especially suited for:
* Former healthcare workers
* Community liaison professionals
* Aged care coordinators
* Support coordinators
* Retired nurses or allied health professionals
* Former business owners with strong local networks
Experience within aged care or NDIS environments will be highly regarded.
