The role provides comprehensive exposure through on-call commitments and emergency procedures, making it an ideal opportunity for career advancement in this highly specialised medical discipline.About the roleReporting to the Director of South Australian Liver Transplant Unit, some of your duties as the Senior Registrar will involve:Working as a part of a multidisciplinary academic and clinical Liver Transplant team.Contributing to clinical activities and clinical research activities for the Liver Transplant Medicine Unit.Involvement with on-call commitments for liver transplant unit.Covering remote general surgical on-call demands.About youBachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalentMust hold current registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.Trainee in final 1-2 years of completion of training general surgical program or Post FRACS Fellowship.Clinical experience and competence in the practice of surgery as expected for level of training.Research experience and several publications in peer-reviewed journals.Surgical skills appropriate to level of training.Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including colleagues and other professional staff, proficient in written and spoken English.Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.Application detailsApplication Closing Date: 11.55 pm Sunday 5th October 2025Note: The Indicative Total Remuneration is inclusive of Award salary, Superannuation, and other monetary benefits.
