We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to lead our Heavy Civil Construction Project in Cooma, NSW.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and implement project works to achieve time, cost, quality, safety, and contractual targets.
* Develop and enforce procedures to ensure quality, safety, timely delivery, and budget compliance.
* Ensure QA implementation on site and support Site Engineers and supervisors in applying QA standards.
* Develop construction documentation and project programs.
* Conduct and document safety risk assessments with the site team and ensure HSE approvals are in place.
* Review subcontractor IPC claims and assist with subcontract administration.
* Provide technical review of subcontract packages and support procurement activities.
* Mentor the engineering team to strengthen technical knowledge and capability.
Requirements
* A minimum of 6 years of experience as a Project Engineer with the TBM in tunnels/underground/heavy civil construction projects or similar.
* Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Demonstrate a positive 'can-do' attitude, show initiative and creative problem-solving skills.
* Self-motivated and results-driven, able to manage multiple issues and deliver productive outcomes.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively, meet deadlines and targets, prioritizing tasks under pressure.
* Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
