What you will be doing:
* Responsible for managing and directing all aspects of technical support, product management, training development, and large motor failure assessment across the business.
* Lead internal capability development, support the sales and service teams, manages complex warranty and failure investigations, and oversee the development, standardization, and technical positioning of Franklin Product and solar product portfolios.
* Ensure consistent, professional technical communication across internal teams and customers while strengthening service standards and product knowledge nationally.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provides high-level technical support to internal and external customers relating to motors, large motor applications, VFDs, electronics, and solar systems.
* Acts as escalation point for complex technical matters.
* Assists in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and resolution of field technical issues.
* Works with internal and external customers to resolve issues pertaining to warranties, legal, compliance, and technical matters.
* Provides technical support and resources to the Sales Team and Area Sales Managers (ASM's).
* Writes and delivers technical presentations where required.
* Drafts technical letters, reports, and formal warranty documentation.
* Develops structured technical training programs for internal staff and ASM's.
* Identifies skill gaps and implements training to improve service standards internally.
* Mentors internal personnel to strengthen long-term technical capability within the organisation.
* Designs and rolls out national training packs for customer groups and distributors (ASM rollout).
* Conducts state-based technical training sessions as required.
* Develops training tools where appropriate.
* Until a replacement is appointed or talent developed internally, responds to service requests relating to drives (VFD) and electronic control systems.(specifically Nastec and solar product)
* Leads the technical management of large motor failure claims & Works in conjunction with Cameron Smith (Large Motor Failure Liaison) to gather facts, review installations, analyze failures, and compile structured reports.
* Trains and develop Cameron Smith to build deeper understanding of large motor diagnostics and failure analysis processes.
* Oversees technical support and positioning of the Solar product line.
* Manages the introduction, technical validation, and standardization of new solar products.
* Ensures product specifications and technical messaging are consistent and commercially aligned.
* Works closely with Marketing to develop accurate technical literature, product bulletins, and market communications.
OTHER DUTIES
* Manages travel and training schedules related to technical programs.
* Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
* Attends market specific trade shows, state and regional shows, and territory seminars and reports on key trends, customers, competitors, market drivers and technologies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
* May supervise supervisory and non-supervisory employees as required.
* Assists in planning, assigning, and directing work related to technical training and development.
* Supports performance management and capability development within the technical function.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or Marketing or related field Preferred.
* Five Plus Years of experience in the water systems industry or related field.
* Significant experience in motors, drives, electronics, pumping systems, or related industry.
* Experience in technical training and warranty management preferred.
* Supervisory or mentoring experience advantageous.
COMPUTER SKILLS
* Intermediate: Word processing/typing, presentation/PowerPoint, Spreadsheet.
* Basic: Alphanumeric data entry.
CERTIFICATES & LICENCES
* Driver's License
* Trade Certificates Advantageous

* Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
