Job Description
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be working closely with clients to identify and achieve their personal goals. This involves facilitating social participation, promoting well-being, and ensuring the safety and independence of our clients in their daily lives.
Responsibilities
* Assist with personal care activities such as grooming, bathing, and dressing.
* Support clients in accessing community facilities and participating in social events.
* Develop and maintain relationships with clients, families, and other service providers to ensure comprehensive support.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will need to possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong knowledge of safeguarding practices and the ability to maintain client safety and well-being is also essential.
Qualifications
* Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication skills to ensure effective engagement with clients, families, and team members.
* Knowledge of Safeguarding practices and the ability to maintain client safety and well-being.
* Technical Support skills to assist clients with any relevant assistive technologies or devices they use.
* A current First Aid Certificate and NDIS Clearance.
