Practice Assistant (Legal Assistant/Legal Secretary) – Mergers & Acquisitions

About the role We are currently seeking a proactive Practice Assistant to join our Mergers & Acquisitions team in Perth. This opportunity will provide variety in your day-to-day and is being offered on full-time, permanent basis. This role is within a transactional practice group where you will support Partner Antonella Pacitti and her friendly and close-knit team. The key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the following:
* Building and maintaining client and internal relationships
* Coordinating meetings and arranging travel
* Assisting with BD tasks and other market facing priorities
* Managing calendars and inboxes
* Billing, expense management and reporting
* Matter management including opening and closing files, archiving, electronic filing, and physical filing
* Other general administrative tasks

* Minimum of 3 years in a legal support role (such as Legal Assistant, Practice Assistant, Legal Executive or Legal Secretary)
* Experience with PEXA is desirable, but not essential
* Sound knowledge of the monthly billing process in a legal environment - experience with Elite highly regarded
* Typing speed of 70+ wpm
* Advanced knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Ability to analyse, problem solve and apply appropriate use of judgement
* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, choosing an appropriate style for their audience
* Well-developed interpersonal skills, including ability to work proactively and to demonstrate an organised and methodical approach to practice management
