About the role
Evolve Heating and Cooling Pty Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Apprentice Refrigeration Mechanic (1st to 4th year) to join our team in Bendigo, Victoria. As an Apprentice Refrigeration Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop the skills required to install, maintain, and repair commercial and residential air conditioning and refrigeration systems. This is a full-time apprenticeship position, providing hands-on training and support to help you become a qualified refrigeration mechanic.
What you'll be doing
1. Assisting experienced refrigeration mechanics with the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems
2. Gaining practical experience in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and schematics
3. Developing skills in the use of various tools and equipment required for the trade
4. Participating in on-the-job and off-the-job training to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge
5. Ensuring work is carried out safely and in compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
What we're looking for
1. A genuine interest in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry
2. Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
3. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
4. Willingness to learn and a commitment to completing the apprenticeship program
5. Reliable, punctual, good physical fitness and able to work as part of a team
6. Position requires a current White Card and a Working with Children (WWC) check, or be eligible to apply for a WWC.
