Job Description
As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe execution of projects and promoting a positive safety culture. You will work closely with project teams and site managers to implement WHS systems, provide guidance on compliance, and support investigations as needed.
Key responsibilities include providing expert advice on WHS matters, conducting daily and weekly on-site inspections, reviewing subcontractor SWMS, and verifying emergency plans and permit-to-work systems.
What You Will Do:
* Provide WHS advice and consultation to workers
* Assist site teams in applying company WHS procedures aligned with project requirements
* Conduct incident and hazard reporting and support investigations as needed
* Review and monitor subcontractor SWMS and permit-to-work systems
* Conduct daily and weekly on-site safety inspections
* Deliver site-specific and mobile plant inductions
* Verify emergency plans, plant checks, and hazardous substance registers
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
3+ years' experience in a WHS advisory or HSEQ role
Formal qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety
Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and ability to interpret relevant statutes
Experience working within OFSC, ISO45001, ISO9001, and ISO14001 frameworks
Experience preparing WHS/HSE documentation and contributing to risk mitigation
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to positively influence site teams
High proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant WHS systems
