About the role
This full-time Hotel/Pub General Manager role at the Hotel Emerald offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a renowned hospitality venue in Emerald, Queensland. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operations, financial performance, and strategic direction of the hotel, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving continued business growth.
What you'll be doing
* Oversee all aspects of hotel/pub operations, including staff management, budgeting, inventory control, and compliance with relevant regulations
* Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the customer experience, increase revenue, and maintain profitability
* Lead, motivate and mentor a team, fostering a positive and customer-centric work environment
* Ensure the hotel/pub meets high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, local authorities, and the community
* Monitor and analyse financial and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement
* Represent the hotel/pub at industry events and participate in local community initiatives
What we're looking for
* Comprehensive experience as a Hotel/Pub General Manager or in a similar senior hospitality management role
* Proven track record of driving revenue growth, optimising operations, and delivering exceptional customer service
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams
* Excellent financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
* Thorough understanding of hospitality industry regulations, policies, and best practices
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
* Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is highly desirable
