Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments including diagnostic formulation and risk assessment.
Develop and implement individualised treatment plans and management in collaboration with client, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
Collaborate with psychologists and other mental health professionals to ensure cohesive treatment strategies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Participate in team meetings and case discussions as needed.
Stay informed of best practices and advancements in the field of psychiatry.
Qualifications
Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) with specialisation in Psychiatry.
Fellowship of the Royal Australian and Recent Zealand college of Psychiatry (RANZCP).
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Demonstrate experience in the assessment and management of a broad range of psychiatric disorder.
Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a versatile schedule.
