We're looking for apart-time Employment Lawyerto join our team3 days per week.
The Role
You'll work primarily in our employment law practice, with the opportunity to be involved in broader commercial matters.
Day to day, you can expect to:
* Advise employers on contracts, policies and workplace compliance
* Assist with unfair dismissal, general protections and other employment disputes
* Draft, review and negotiate employment contracts and contractor agreements
* Work on workplace investigations, performance and misconduct issues
* Support the commercial team on general matters (e.g. basic commercial contracts, corporate governance documents, M&A) depending on your experience
* Have direct contact with clients and help deliver clear, commercial advice
You'll be supported by senior practitioners but given responsibility and autonomy.
About You
You will:
* Be an admitted Solicitor with at least 2 years' PQE in employment law (more experienced candidates are very welcome to apply)
* Have WHS desired but not a must
* Be confident in advising on day-to-day employment issues for employers
* Have strong drafting skills with attention to detail
* Be comfortable managing your time and files on a 3 days per week basis
* Have interest in (or some exposure to) general commercial work
* Be a team player who communicates well with clients and colleagues
