We are currently seeking an Electrician at The Reef Hotel Casino, the pre-eminent centre for gaming, entertainment, food and accommodation in Cairns.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a qualified Electrician to join our Engineering team in a multi-skilled position and assist in the overall maintenance of our 5-star Complex.
Key Responsibilities
* Installation and maintenance of temporary services including power, telephones, data and communication cables, and equipment.
* Undertake a broad range of maintenance activities including preventative, predictive, and reactive works.
* Assist duty technicians and other trade personnel as required.
* Ensure all maintenance and repair activates comply with legislative / statutory and WHS requirements.
* Ensure the Complex remains a functional, pleasant, and safe environment for both internal and external customers.
Criteria
* Minimum of five (5) years' experience working on the maintenance of fixed plant and equipment systems.
* Must hold a Queensland electrical trade qualification and be a licensed electrical mechanic.
* Relevant licence certification ie: Blue/White card.
* Commercial building services experience.
* Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance strategies.
* Experience in BMS.
* Good verbal communication skills.
* Be able to work as part of a small team and follow direction.
* Self-motivator who takes a proactive approach to work.
* Punctual, reliable and well presented.
* Flexibility with shifts as afternoon and weekend shifts are required.
