What you'll be doing
As a Senior Clinician within the Pathways to Community Living Initiative (PCLI), you will deliver expert, recovery-oriented care to consumers with enduring mental illness and identified substance use, supporting sustainable community living.
* Provide specialist assessment, care coordination and intensive outreach for PCLI consumers
* Support safe, person-centred transitions from long-stay inpatient care to community settings
* Build capability across inpatient and community teams through supervision, consultation and education
* Lead and champion practice improvement, service development and quality initiatives
* Work collaboratively with consumers, carers, NGOs and government partners to support recovery

Essential Requirements:
* Qualifications: Bachelor degree or higher level.
* Registration: Demonstrated full registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist, Nurse or Psychologist, or eligibility to be a member of the AASW as a Social Worker (Registered Nurse requires at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience and approved post registration nursing qualifications relevant to the position).
Selection Criteria:
* Demonstrated skills and experience in the drug and alcohol field, discipline specific assessments and interventions and experience working with people who experience mental illness and substance misuse.
* Demonstrated experience of providing drug and alcohol counselling, and the development and facilitation of group programs.
* Proven clinical experience within a multi-disciplinary team with the ability to provide consultancy, supervision, education and training on clinical issues.
* Demonstrated advanced written and verbal communication skills.
* Proven organisational skills and ability to lead and promote change in a positive manner, with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to deal with conflict.
* Computer competence and literacy, including the use of database systems.
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment and understanding of recovery principles in mental health service provision.
* Demonstrated working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act 2007.
