Job Description
This role will work closely with the Finance Manager - Controllership, ensuring the financial integrity of entities in Australia and New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyze business drivers and explain monthly US GAAP financial results.
* Prepare month-end reporting based on legal entity P&L and Balance Sheet.
* Evaluate accounting implications of transactions under US GAAP and IFRS.
* Review month-end accounting entries for compliance with internal policy and US GAAP accounting rules.
* Oversight of accounting entries passed by finance and non-finance teams.
* Ensure accurate reporting and escalation of financial errors and unusual accounting entries in a timely manner.
* Oversee quality review of quarterly board report and yearly statutory report prepared by the Legal Entity Reporting (LER) team.
* Review LER team's reconciliation of US GAAP ledgers to local GAAP accounts.
* Present monthly and quarterly information and relevant business analysis to stakeholders.
* Support production and audit of IFRS statutory financial statements.
* Provide financial guidance on regulations and laws for local reporting related queries.
Requirements
This role requires:
* A qualified accountant with professional finance experience.
* Strong technical accounting background and experience in accounting, reporting, and statutory audit.
* Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS reporting requirements.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Understanding of month-end close processes and reporting.
* Ability to manage workload, multitask, and operate autonomously.
* Collaboration across geographies in a matrix structure.
* High proficiency in MS-Office applications.
