Bendigo Salvation Army Thrift Store Volunteer
We are seeking a volunteer to assist in the operation of our retail store. This role involves customer service, in-store operations and styling/merchandising.
* Customer Service - Create a welcoming environment for customers by ensuring our stores are well-stocked with great items.
* In Store Operations - Assist in sorting and processing donations, pricing and preparing high-quality items for resale.
* Styling + Merchandising - Maintain a visually appealing store display with creative product displays and window installations.
For this role, you will need to be able to work independently as part of a team, have excellent communication skills and be able to lift up to 10 kg regularly.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a retail environment and possess good organizational skills. However, full training will be provided by our staff.
This is a regular commitment of more than 6 months. The Salvation Army operates from Tuesday to Saturday. No experience is required and various roles are available in the store.
