Position Overview
The Clinical Coordinator will provide visionary leadership and operational direction to support the delivery of high-quality primary health services across our clinics in Mareeba, Atherton, and Kuranda. This role requires a proactive approach to practice management, ensuring efficient administrative functions and adherence to regulatory standards while fostering a positive environment for both staff and clients.
In this position, you will oversee six key areas: Client/Health Services, Leadership, Reporting & Record Keeping, Quality System Compliance, Stakeholder Engagement, and Portfolio Development, ensuring that all operations align with Mulungu's commitment to ethical conduct and quality service delivery.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual who demonstrates a strong commitment to community health and cultural safety. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of leadership skills, operational management expertise, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
* Possession of a Diploma or higher qualification in Practice Management, Business Management, or Health.
* A minimum of three years' experience in a managerial role within a healthcare setting.
* Proficient understanding of Medicare billing, Electronic Medical Records, and the Australian health system.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leading teams, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and building sustainable partnerships that enhance service delivery and meet community needs.
Selection Criteria
SC 1 Possession of Diploma level or higher qualification in Practice Management/Business management or Health.
SC 2 Minimum three (3) years' experience in managing a team as Practice Manager, Senior Clinician, or Manager role.
SC 3 Have excellent understanding and knowledge of Medicare billing, Electronic Medical Records, and the Australian health system.
SC 4 Demonstrate your skills set in the process of and managing compliments and complaints from patients.
SC 5 Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and demonstrate commercial acumen.
SC 6 Strong judgment, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn and implement new ways of working and systems.
