Student Wellbeing Support
The Student Wellbeing and Support role involves providing routine support to teachers, assisting with planning student routines, communicating with parents, and offering basic physical care and wellbeing support for students.
This position requires a strong commitment to professional learning and growth, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to provide high-quality support to students and teachers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting teachers with planning of student routines
* Supporting communication between teachers and parents
* Communicating with teachers on routine matters related to students and/or other responsibilities
* Providing basic physical care and wellbeing support for students such as toileting, meals, and lifting
* Communicating with students to support comprehension of basic tasks and information
* Addressing immediate behavioural presentations relating to specific students within a classroom setting aligned to school policy and procedure
* Providing basic support and supervision for individuals or groups of up to 4 students within a classroom setting
* Supporting teachers in the coordination of educational programs independently or under minimal supervision

* Demonstrated capacity to perform duties consistent with established guidelines and frameworks
* Ability to work and collaborate with others in a team environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Technical knowledge and expertise relevant to the position
* Capacity to provide advice and support to management and other school staff
* Commitment to professional learning and growth for both self and others
