Job Title: Mechanical Equipment Technician
Avoid equipment failures and ensure the smooth operation of our mechanical systems. We are seeking a skilled technician to join our maintenance team.
About The Role:
We are looking for an experienced mechanic with knowledge of conveyors, pumps and other heavy machinery. Your primary responsibility will be to perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues and conduct repairs in a safe and efficient manner.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
* Completing routine maintenance tasks on all equipment in the fixed plant area, including but not limited to conveyors, motor/gearbox shaft alignment, axial flow and centrifugal pumps.
* Troubleshooting, calibrating, repairing and servicing fixed plant assets.
* Conducting routine inspections of fixed plant assets, including automatic lubrication systems, and determining repair action when required.
* Maintaining a high level of safety awareness and complying with company policies and procedures.
* Actively contributing to continuous improvement projects by increasing safety while reducing risk and cost.
* Utilising SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly and completed to the relevant standard/specification.
* Isolating equipment for maintenance and operational tasks.
You'll Bring:
* A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
* A mechanical engineering/fitting trade qualification.
* Working at heights, EWP, forklift, confined space qualifications.
* A manual C-class Australian driver's license.
* Fixed plant experience.

Where You Will Be Working:
Western Australia and comprising two solar operations – Port Hedland & Dampier – is the world's largest exporter of seaborne salt, with capacity to produce approximately 7.3 million tonnes every year.
Our premium salt is exported to customers globally and used in the production of Caustic Soda and Chlorine.
This role is a residential role based in Port Hedland.
