Job Description: The Grader Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a motor grader on civil road construction projects. This role involves performing precise final trim works, road formation, and maintenance activities in accordance with design specifications, project quality standards, and safety requirements. This is a remote regional position.

Key Responsibilities
* Operate a grader to construct and maintain road formations, shoulders, drainage batters, and pavement layers.
* Perform final trim grading to tight tolerances using GPS, laser, or manual guidance.
* Cut, mix, spread, and level road base and gravel materials to achieve required design levels and crossfalls.
* Work collaboratively with surveyors and supervisors to ensure accurate grade control and surface finish.
* Conduct daily pre-start checks and routine maintenance on the grader to ensure operational safety and reliability.
* Monitor site conditions and adjust grading techniques to suit ground and material variations.
* Report hazards, defects, and incidents immediately in accordance with site safety procedures.
* Comply with project specifications, environmental management plans, and workplace health and safety standards.
* Support other plant operators and ground crews to ensure smooth project delivery.
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 3–5 years' experience operating a grader in civil road construction environments.
* Proven experience in final trim work to design tolerances (GPS experience highly regarded).
* Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings, set-out points, and design levels.
* Sound understanding of safety requirements in civil construction operations.
* Current and valid HR Driver's Licence.
* Construction White Card.
